The Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre, KIMBERLEY

Located opposite the Big Hole in the heart of the diamond city, thus making it the ideal venue for conferences, functions and symposiums.

The convention centre is named after Mittah Seperepere who was born on the 28th of December 1929 and who witnessed the fierce resistance of the Majeng Community when the government culled their livestock. She was in solitary confinement, served with a banning order and later had to flee the country she dearly loved. Seperepere was elected secretary of the ANC Women’s league. By the time of her death she was provincial secretary of the ANC Veteran’s League.
